Data Sources & Attribution

Overview

Path2Playoffs aggregates publicly available soccer data to provide standings, playoff scenarios, and schedules for ECNL and MLS NEXT leagues. We believe in transparency about where our data comes from and how we use it.

Data Sources

• ECNL — Match results, standings, and schedules are aggregated from publicly available ECNL pages on theecnl.com and on AthleteOne (formerly Total Global Sports), the platform the ECNL uses for competition information.
• MLS NEXT — Match results, standings, and schedules are aggregated from publicly available MLS NEXT pages on mlssoccer.com and on the Kitman Labs league platform MLS NEXT uses for schedules and standings.

Data Processing

Raw data from these sources is processed by our proprietary data pipeline to compute:

• Points-per-game (PPG) rankings.
• Clinch and elimination scenarios using mathematical analysis of all possible remaining outcomes.
• What-if match predictions and their impact on standings.
• Travel distances between venues.
• AI-generated weekly audio briefings summarizing each team's week.

Keeping Data Current

Our data pipeline runs automatically throughout the season to keep standings, schedules, and playoff scenarios current.

Path2Playoffs is not a live score service, and there may be a delay before a recent result appears. For time-critical information, check the league's own published results.

The app syncs data to your device so you can access it offline.

Accuracy

We strive for accuracy but cannot guarantee that all data is 100% correct at all times. Source websites may have delays, corrections, or formatting changes that temporarily affect our data. If you notice an error, please let us know via the in-app feedback feature.

Attribution & Fair Use

Path2Playoffs uses publicly available data for informational purposes. All league names, club and team names, logos, crests, and related trademarks are the property of their respective owners; we claim no ownership of them. They are displayed, including in screenshots showing how our app works, solely so users can identify the leagues, clubs, and teams behind the data — a use we believe qualifies as nominative fair use. Path2Playoffs is not affiliated with, endorsed by, authorized by, or officially connected to ECNL, MLS NEXT, or any individual club, and displaying a name, logo, or crest does not imply any such association.
